An afternoon with fantastic friends

Whilst going through the photos I took this weekend, I wondered how long ago it was I met Bas and his family. It was one of those moments where you track back through emails and photos, going further and further into the past, with more and more disbelief as you realise it really was “that long ago”. Summer of 2006 in Bahrain. Wow, that long ago! And to think that was thanks to Briskoda.net (but that’s another story!):)

And although several years have passed, we hardly see each other.:(The last time I saw Bas was last year in Dubai, and whilst it was great to see him, it was a pretty sad moment in my personal life as both my grandparents passed away.

Fortunately, this time however, there were nothing but good vibes and for once, some really nice weather! So as it was a rear occasion to take some photos (and I secretly knew they really wanted some!), it was an opportunity not to be missed.:)

Bas, I wish I had more time to spend with you and your family, but at least we’ll have some nice photos!

A (very!) small selection of Faysal’s trains. I never thought of using the 200 vr for product shots!

With all my love to your family,

Xav
